Hello!
You have either found this blog on purpose or have stumbled upon it, either way, we are happy to have you here. If there is one thing Peter, Chris, Kathy and I have learned over the past 27 years teaching parenting classes at our church, the Desert Vineyard, it is the incredible growth that comes from simply "talking things out." So often during the Q and A segment of our classes, great ideas and parenting wisdom is given by participants in the class. Many times other parents have been where you are and been successful, or maybe even not so successful and their experiences can help through advice, support and compassion. We have found this to be invaluable for our families. It is always so good to know that someone else understands what you are going through...that you are not alone. For years we have desired a way to keep this kind of support system going after the classes are over, so finally, we have started this blog to connect not only us with you, but you with each other.
We will be writing often about different topics of interest to parents, giving links to informative and helpful websites, writing book reviews and, from time to time, having guests write posts on their particular area of expertise. We hope to have pages up soon specifically for single parents and blended families. Please feel free to leave comments on the various posts.
